WHO WE ARE

Founded in 2010 by Nancy Brennan-Jordan and William Jordan (pictured right), we focus on regions with plenty of sunlight but little access to reliable electricity—places like Haiti, Honduras, and Puerto Rico. Let’s Share the Sun Foundation is a nonprofit bringing solar energy to underserved communities around the world.

POWERED BY

A portion of every solar project completed by our sister company, Jordan Energy, directly funds our nonprofit work. By reinvesting profits from renewable energy into community programs, we’ve built a sustainable cycle—business driving impact, not just profit.

WHERE WE WORK

PUERTO RICO

Following severe storms and ongoing power grid issues, many schools in Puerto Rico have faced long-term electricity challenges. Let’s Share the Sun focuses on solar resilience here—bringing reliable energy to education centers that serve as community hubs during outages. Their work ensures that schools can stay open, function during emergencies, and offer renewable energy education to empower the next generation of local leaders.

HAITI

In Haiti, Let’s Share the Sun works closely with schools and local partners to bring consistent electricity to classrooms that have gone without. With solar installations, students now have access to lighting, fans, and basic technology—tools that make a huge difference in learning environments. The foundation also runs educational sessions to train community members and students on how solar systems work, creating long-term sustainability and job opportunities in renewable energy.

HONDURAS

Let’s Share the Sun is partnering with Soluz to provide solar energy options to rural Hondurans in the Yoro region. Honduras has the lowest energy access in Central America and rates are especially high in rural areas where 30% lack access to electricity. The partnership facilitates the Universal Access Program which closes the gap to allow anyone, regardless of socioeconomic status, to access solar energy.

Our Mission

We believe clean, reliable energy should be accessible to everyone. Our mission focuses on three key areas:

Solar for Health

We power homes with medical needs and health clinics, ensuring essential equipment and services stay up and running.

Solar for Women

We install solar systems at women-centered spaces like domestic violence shelters. In Puerto Rico, we’ve completed three installs, creating safe, stable, and energy-resilient environments for families rebuilding their lives.

Solar for Education

We light up schools and offer educational programs that teach locals how to maintain their own renewable energy systems.

GET INVOLVED

SOLAR DELEGATIONS PROGRAM

Our delegations bring employees or students from sponsoring companies and universities to install solar in underserved communities. It’s a hands-on experience that blends impact, teamwork, and cultural connection.

DONATION-FOCUSED PROGRAM

Our donation-driven programs give supporters a direct way to fund solar energy projects that bring power and opportunity to communities in need. Every contribution helps create lasting impact and transforms lives through clean energy.

VOLUNTEER PROGRAM

Let’s Share the Sun invites volunteers to join us on the ground. This program will allow people to engage directly with communities, contribute to solar installations, and experience the power of service firsthand.
