THE GLOBAL IMPACT OF SOLAR
Our mission is global—bringing solar electricity to communities in need wherever energy security can transform lives.
Since our founding, we have worked across multiple geographies to expand access to clean, reliable energy for families and community centers.
In Puerto Rico, we have completed more than 150 hybrid solar installations, empowering vulnerable households and strengthening community resilience in the face of frequent power outages.
In Honduras, we have supported over 600 off-grid solar installations for families living beyond the reach of the national electrical grid, providing essential access to light, communications, and safety.
Our work in Haiti began in 2011, following the devastating 2010 earthquake. For years, we partnered with clinics, schools, and communities to install solar systems that offered stability in a time of crisis. Although our work there is currently paused due to security concerns, our commitment to Haiti remains, and we stand ready to return when it becomes safe to do so.
Across every region, our mission continues to grow—expanding to places where solar power can bring dignity, resilience, and opportunity to the people who need it most.
U.S. Department of Energy Partnership:
Building a More Resilient Puerto Rico
In 2023, Let’s Share the Sun was selected by the U.S. Department of Energy to participate in the Puerto Rico Energy Resilience Fund (PR-ERF) — a landmark initiative to strengthen the island’s energy security. Through this program of $5,000,000, we are installing 200 solar and battery systems in Adjuntas for households with medically vulnerable members, ensuring they have reliable power for essential health needs. This recognition affirms our role as a trusted partner in building a more resilient and equitable energy future for Puerto Rico.
