Since 2010, Let’s Share the Sun has been installing solar across Haiti, Honduras, and Puerto Rico.
About Us
The Let’s Share the Sun Foundation was founded in 2010 by Nancy Brennan-Jordan and William Jordan. Having lived 6 years in Chile working with underserved populations, they were inspired to start a Foundation to improve people’s lives through solar power. After the Earthquake in Haiti in 2010, Let’s Share the Sun began their work in Haiti and now focuses most work in Puerto Rico and Honduras.
The Problem
Energy experts estimate that over 750 million people live without electricity, mostly in poor and isolated communities around the world. Getting power to isolated areas used to be impossible. Solar can now bring electricity to these areas as the cost of solar has drastically decreased in recent decades.
The Solution
Let’s Share the Sun facilitates solar development in underserved areas worldwide, installing affordable solar power to boost well-being. Solar energy helps provide electricity to hospitals, schools, clinics, and homes, improving lives with sustainable power — while also accelerating the local economy.
Why Solar
Solar technology has been around for nearly seventy years, producing electricity as the sun shines. To facilitate installations, we have partnered with local solar installers, equipment manufacturers, and US solar companies to bring solar to communities in need around the world.
